I have always owned dogs and I have worked with them in various jobs since 1998. My jobs have included a kennel maid, dog groomer and canine hydrotherapist. I am also a fully qualified dog training instructor and regularly take classes in pet dog obedience and agility, along with offering 121 sessions for behavioural problems. I have my qualification to assess dogs for the Bronze Good Citizens Scheme.
I currently own 3 dogs:
I have tried my hand at most dog sports over the years and I currently compete at agility with my dogs, with Binky being grade 5 (however he is let down badly by my inability to remember my left and rights).
My involvement in agility naturally led me to an interest in canine anatomy and physiology to ensure my dogs could have long and healthy working careers.
In 2012 I was made redundant from my job in administration, I was luckily enough to find another job straight away but I wanted a career change, before I knew it I had found the K9 Massage Therapy Centre’s website run by Natalie Lenton and applied for the Therapeutic Canine Massage Diploma. I studied Anatomy and Physiology in depth, trained in Swedish massage, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release and deep tissue release. Now after a lot of studying and over 800 hours of massaging, I am qualified and keen to use my skills to help your dogs. I am based in Hinckley but can provide canine massage in Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.
